When beginning your career with our firm, our goal is to ensure that each and every member of our team is properly trained to provide the highest level of service to all of our clients. It is this core concept that has enabled us to complete some of the largest transactions in NYC history. Through our training programs, strong infrastructure of support, and continuous opportunities for further professional development, we can ensure that this expectation is met.
Once you have completed all licensing requirements, all new agents attend the Platinum Properties Partnership Training Program. This intensive, one-week, in house training program was designed so each sales associate is prepared to execute their first transaction as if they were a 20-year veteran. The program focuses on every step of the business—from lead acquisition to closing. Training program elements include:
- Associates are schooled in effective advertising techniques and introduced to Platinum Properties' social media consultant. Through this consulting, associates create a strategic plan to reach out to their existing network and contacts to generate business. Associates also leave this phase of training fully prepared to effectively market their first listing in a manner that provides maximum exposure and quick response. The in-class training prepares Associates to initiate, negotiate and close transactions while securing the best possible terms for all parties involved.
- Sales Associates "shadow" experienced Associates in their first two weeks. This allows our new associates the hands on exposure to all types of transactions. Also, by carefully selecting who is being shadowed, we can ensure they are learning from the best example. Typically, these agents are our top producers and veterans of the company.
- The Company conducts a "Building Tour" to enable agents to learn the product of a targeted real estate market. In this tour, agents are exposed to the different types and price levels of inventory available in this market. Agents are also familiarized with the conveniences of the neighborhood so they can counsel clients regarding school districts, shopping, entertainment and public transportation.
- Associates are enrolled in the Broker Heaven Training, the number one real estate training school in New York. Broker Heaven provides additional training in rentals, sales and marketing. Additionally, it helps to facilitate your personal business development and professional growth through proven methodology.
- Associates are given the opportunity to learn about the residential sales market through the in house weekly sales meeting. At these meetings, each week a select topic is discussed in depth aiming to further your product knowledge and general overview of the sales market.
- Once the initial training is complete, Associates will further develop a relationship with their respective manager and meet formally at least once a month to create an effective business plan. Platinum Properties’ open door policy allows for a consistent flow of information, giving each partner an opportunity to make their ideas a reality.
