For many New Yorkers, spending the summer out East is a common tradition. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, activity in The Hamptons has increased more than ever. As many New Yorkers find themselves extending their stays – or leaving the city for good – Platinum Properties wanted to share our guide to all things Hamptons living and style.

Property Sales

Here are some of the most amazing – and most expensive – properties in the Hamptons:

1080 Meadow Lane ($150 million)

This singular Southampton property on Meadow Lane spans over 14 acres and offers over 700 feet of direct oceanfront across three distinct lots. Included in this $150 million estate is a main residence with an indoor pool, a tennis court with a tennis house, a pool and spa with a pool house and two golf greens with golf houses. With 16 bedrooms, 21 bathrooms, and a long list of luxury amenities, you’ll never want to leave this Hamptons paradise.

60 Further Lane ($147 million)

Once known as the most expensive home ever sold in the U.S., this 18-acre estate in East Hampton was sold to Barry Rosenstein, head of activist hedge fund Jana Partners, in 2014. Since the previous owner, Christopher H. Browne, the managing director of a New York investment firm, sold the property without using a broker, there are no listing photos of the estate. However, what is known is that some neighboring properties include Jerry Seinfeld’s, hedge-fund manager Jim Chanos’ and art dealer Larry Gagosian’s.

Jule Pond ($145 million)

First listed by its current owner in 2017, the 42-acre Jule Pond estate in Southampton is now one of the most expensive homes for sale in the Hamptons. Priced at $145 million, this 20,000 square foot mansion includes 12 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, tennis and basketball courts, a greenhouse and over 1,200 feet of oceanfront views. Fun fact—the home was originally built for Henry Ford in 1960!
