The heat can feel extra hot in the concrete jungle this summer, but there are many luxurious pools that you can take a swim in to stay cool. Here at Platinum Properties, we’ve picked seven of the best NYC rooftop pools that are open for the summer and have a lot more to offer than just a sundeck. While spots at each one are not guaranteed, there are quite a few options.  Whether you want a cocktail and chaise lounge, a view of Central Park, or a night club inspired pool, there is a spot to suit whatever you’re looking for this summer.

The Jimmy is a rooftop bar and lounge at the James Hotel which features an outdoor pool equipped with plush chaise lounges for optimum sunbathing (and socializing). On weekdays the pool is for guests only, but on weekends starting at 3:00 PM, the space is open to the public for its famously fun JIMMY Summer Pool Parties.

The pool at Hotel Americano in Chelsea offers a view of the western city skyline, complemented by a Mediterranean-inspired menu. The food is prepared on an outdoor grill so guests can enjoy their snacks while dipping their toes in the pool and sipping on ‘caipirinhas’ and other deliciously boozy cocktails.

The pool is open from 9AM-5PM, and pool passes for non-guests are available for $40 a person.

Members only can enjoy Manhattan Plaza Health Club’s pool for $89 a month. More than just a pool, the health club has a gym facility as well, providing you with total access to the pool and sundeck and all of their health club amenities. Members can also order food from a pool attendant and have it brought right to them.

Le Parker Meridien is perhaps the most luxurious pool pass you can purchase, costing $150 for a one day pass—unless you’re a hotel guest, in which case the amenities are included. If you splurge for the $150, you gain admittance to the pool, the multi-level sundeck, the locker room, and the fitness center—not to mention a gorgeous view of Central Park. Food and drinks can be ordered by guests as well, for a pretty penny. The pool and deck areas are open until 10:30 PM on weekdays and 8:45 PM on weekends to ensure you get a full day’s worth of summer luxury.

Le Bain at the Standard Highline is a nightclub that features a plunge pool in the club during summer nights. Admission is determined at the entrance, even hotel guests are not guaranteed entrance to this posh nightclub. The hours of the club vary by day: the earliest it opens is 2 PM and the latest it closes is 4 AM. This is the ideal rooftop for party lovers who want to hang out in a bathing suit. There is always a DJ, an unbeatable sound system, and amazing views of the city.

The Beach at Dream Downtown is equipped with a glass bottom pool, a sandy beach, a full-service bar and food menu, and two private cabanas. The Beach offers guest passes after 11 AM during weekdays and after 2 PM on Sundays for $60. If you don’t have the time to lounge and take a swim, the pool bar and grill are open to the public until 11 PM for drinks and some delicious food.

Equinox Printing House has a rooftop pool for its members to access along with their membership to Equinox. However, if nonmembers want to unwind in this luxurious spa pool, they can book a spa treatment and have full access to the pool on the day of their treatment. Nothing beats a relaxing massage followed by a day poolside lounging.
