Are you looking for some family-friendly Easter activities happening downtown? We’ve got you covered. From egg hunts to Easter brunches to tiny, delicious treats, there’s something in Lower Manhattan that everyone will enjoy.

New York City Fire Museum’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt

One of the best places for an Easter egg hunt happens right downtown. The New York City Fire Museum is hosting their annual egg hunt on Saturday, April 20, at 10 am. This event is perfect for kids ages 3 to 12 and takes place on the first two exhibit floors of the museum. The third floor will feature entertainment by Blue Balloon Parties. Each child will be given a bag to collect their treasures and Hot Dog, the fire safety mascot, will be in attendance for photo ops. Please be advised that tickets must be purchased in advance and may sell out, so be sure to get yours early! Ticket prices are $15 for both adults and children, which includes admission to the museum.

Trinity Church Wall Street Easter Service

For a truly meaningful and memorable Easter service, head to Trinity Church Wall Street. They will be holding Easter service at 11:15 am on Easter Sunday. The service will include music by Hubert Parry, Charles Villiers Stanford, Robert Parsons, John Taverner, and the Choir of Trinity Wall Street.

Ride the SeaGlass Carousel

Easter and whimsy go hand-in-hand, so no Easter in NYC is complete without a ride on the SeaGlass Carousel in Battery Park. This magical carousel has 30 massive fiberglass fish, which contain color-changing LED lights and integrated sound systems. You’ll feel like you’re surrounded by the bioluminescence of the deep ocean. The carousel is open from 10 am – 8 pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and from 10 am – 7 pm Monday through Thursday. Tickets are $5.

Hornblower Easter Brunch Cruise

Take your Easter brunch to the next level on the Hornblower Easter Jazzy Brunch Cruise on Sunday, April 21. The two-hour cruise includes a special visit by the Easter Bunny, an onboard Easter egg hunt, a brunch buffet including free-flowing mimosas, and a live jazz band. Cruises set sail at 12:30 pm and 1 pm. Adult tickets are $85; children ages 4-12 are $51. Kids 3 and under get in free.

Bite-Sized Cupcakes from Baked by Melissa

Finally, end the day on a sweet note with a delicious treat from Baked by Melissa. Their location in the Financial District at 110 Fulton Street offers up delectable (and portion-friendly) bite-sized cupcakes and macarons. Just in case your kids didn’t get enough sugar from their Easter candy, you can be sure they’ll be satisfied by a trip to this sugar-filled wonderland. They also sell party packs in case you’re hosting your own Easter brunch and would like to outsource the treats. A 100-pack of pick-your-own flavors is only $120 and will satisfy a crowd.
