Drawing in the Park

South Cove, Saturdays 10AM – 12PM

Designed to accommodate all experience levels, the weekly “Drawing in the Park” program nurtures creativity under the guidance of a skilled instructor. Whether you’re a budding beginner or the next Van Gogh, the breathtaking views of the Hudson and the beautiful South Cove landscape will inspire the artist in you.

Figure al Fresco

South Cove, Wednesdays 2:30PM – 4:30PM

Ready for a real art challenge? Attend “Figure al Fresco,” where each week a different model strikes both long and short poses for participants to sketch. Explore the human body through art with the helpful assistance of a skilled artist offering suggestions.

Sunset Singing Circle

Wagner Park, Fridays 7PM – 8:30 PM

Worn out from sitting silently in an office all week? Head to Wagner Park on Friday evenings and raise your voice! The “Sunset Singing Circle” is a casual gathering moderated by a singer/guitarist Terre Roche leads the crowd in song with classics such as This Land Is Your Land and other favorites. Bring friends, family, acoustic instruments, or just your voice!

Wagner Park, Wednesdays 6PM – 7PM

 “Sunset Yoga in Wagner Park” is an outdoor yoga class for all skill levels designed to put you in the ultimate state of Zen. Enjoy the fresh air and calming park views as an expert instructor guides you through the routine. Please bring your own mat.

Volleyball After Work

Esplanade Plaza, Wednesdays 6PM – 7:30PM

Get your game on at Esplanade Park after a long day at work! Meet new friends and play an energetic, fun round of volleyball along the Hudson River. A scorekeeper and ball are provided, as well as easy instruction for newcomers.

Tai Chi

Esplanade Plaza, Fridays 8:30AM – 9:30AM

Start your morning off with this weekly drop-in Tai Chi class. The gentle physical exercises and stretching led by experienced teacher Alex Hing will leave you feeling relaxed and ready for what the day holds.

TAKE YOUR KIDS OUT TO PLAY

Wednesdays in Teardrop

Teardrop Park, Wednesdays 3:30PM – 5:30PM

School-age children can come to the magical Teardrop Park for fun games—tag, capture the flag, dramatic play, and many others. The park also offers art programs, such as painting, sculpture, collage, and nature-based art. Your kids will enjoy the fresh air and get their creative juices flowing. All materials are provided.

Play at the Park House

Rockefeller Park, Everyday 11AM – 6:30 PM

Play at the Park House Battery Park

A play haven for kids of all ages, the Rockefeller Park House is set up every day with a variety of toys and play equipment for parents and children to enjoy. Whether kids want to play kitchen, read a book, start a game of basketball, or learn how to play chess, the Park House has everything they need to have a great time.

Young Sprouts Gardening

Rockefeller Park, Tuesdays 3:15PM – 3:45PM

Foster your child’s love of nature at the “Young Sprouts Gardening Program” at Rockefeller Park. Designed for kids ages 3-5 with an accompanying adult, preschoolers will learn how to plant seeds, water the garden, identify different insects, and do a variety of other fun and educational activities in the garden.
