Wylie Dufresne, a leading American chef and former owner of wd~50, is set to open a new hotel restaurant in the AKA Wall Street.  Upon closing the celebrated modernist restaurant, Dufresne hinted that this future restaurant could be very different.  Although details about the name and cuisine have not been announced, the project is tentatively scheduled to be complete by early 2016.

Joining the long list of celebrity chefs who have recently relocated to the Financial District, Keith McNally and Tom Colicchio will open restaurants in 5 Beekman Hotel within the next year.  Colicchio will open the Living Room, a lounge-type eatery offering room service and catering. McNally will present a 90-seat restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Further expanding FiDi’s refined palette, Ken Friedman and April Bloomfield have confirmed their new restaurant at the top of the stunning, Art Deco styled 70 Pine Street.  The duo behind the hugely successful Spotted Pig and Breslin intends to use the four floors of over 10,000 square feet to cater to both casual and fine dining.  We excitedly anticipate the opening of this restaurant, not to mention the brand new luxury rental units come September!

Finally, the Torrisi world grows to Brookfield Place with a shiny new branch for Parm. This downtown space will be bigger than the two other locations and will offer an expanded menu with items like shrimp scampi, artichokes casino, Delmonico steak and an ice cream cake flavor of the month.  Of course, its famous warm fresh mozzarella and modern interpretation of red-sauce will always be on the menu.
