Recently, we took our new 2016 agents on a Wall Street walking tour with Free Tours by Foot so they could truly appreciate the steep and often unknown history of our surrounding area: the front steps of Wall Street; our neighbor, the New York Stock Exchange; the impressive height of the Freedom Tower; and the landmark entrance used by the first immigrants through Bowling Green into New Amsterdam, the original Dutch Colony. They gained new insight into this unique area: “I had no idea that Battery Park City is basically one giant landfill,” said Jennifer Davis, a Platinum agent. “I also found it interesting that Federal Hall was our nation’s capital before D.C.”
