New York City Home Sets Rental Record for a Casual $125,000 a Month
The duplex boasts over 4,100 square feet of outdoor space, allowing for views of the city’s iconic skyline
The biggest barrier to entry to living in the Big Apple is, for most, paying rent. On average, renters in the city pay $4,650 a month for their units, according to RentHop. But some New Yorkers—including the newest tenant at 100 Vandam—are prepared to shell out six figures monthly for their Manhattan apartments. A luxe duplex in the Hudson Square building has set a new record for the highest publicized residential lease in the city, at $125,000 a month, per the New York Post.
