Taking the road less traveled can pay off. There was a small light peeking through lower Manhattan after the darkness of 9/11. Platinum Properties’ ambitious CEO and founder, Khashy Eyn, immediately recognized the light as a bold opportunity. Mr. Eyn had faith that this small light would blossom into a thriving ray of sunshine cast over the Financial District (commonly called the “FiDi”), and he was right.

While many businesses were hesitant to rebuild after the tragedy, Mr. Eyn took a leap of faith and established the firm’s headquarters in the heart of downtown Manhattan: Wall Street. He created a family-founded and run empire. Strong FiDi roots were set for the company with the full support of his sister, a successful agent and licensed attorney, Deizireh Eyn, and lifelong friend, President Daniel Hedaya.

Platinum Properties’ COO, Dezireh Eyn, is passionate not only about maintaining her company – a brokerage originally of 3 that has now expanded to 31 active agents –  as the source for FiDi real estate, but being a leader in this growing community. She explains, “It’s only natural we integrate fully with the surrounding businesses and residents. Platinum Properties are your FiDi experts — we live, work and play here.”

Platinum Properties is now an integral part of the Financial District, flanked by Wall Street icons, the regal Trump Building, and historic Federal Hall.  Platinum’s executive offices directly overlook the New York Stock Exchange, the financial capital of the world. The location is only fitting for a company with such high expectations and has achieved so much in just the past decade.

A major real estate shift occurred post 9/11 and lower Manhattan grew as a result of incentives, including subsidies and mass transit improvements like the recent grand renovation of the Fulton Street station. There was also a renaissance taking place downtown. The young, educated generation who watched the Twin Towers crumble on TV and knew firsthand how that iconic skyline changed forever; the driven graduates who knew neighbors and friends who suffered in some way from the death toll that day; people like Khashy Eyn, who would not let downtown Manhattan fade away and wanted to be part of rebuilding FiDi into something better than before; were all part of the real force behind the neighborhood’s revitalization.

Gone are the days of the area emptying out after business hours. It is now a residential mecca with people congregating not only to work, but to live and to participate in a full range of leisure activities. At Platinum, we want New Yorkers – both native and newcomers – to experience the area in the best possible ways.

“The area is so enmeshed with our firm’s brand; the neighborhood has morphed, from a real estate perspective, from the ‘Financial District’ to the ‘Platinum District,’” explains Ms. Eyn.

Platinum’s foundation in real estate is high luxury. Its exclusives border the area: the 95 Wall Street site in the heart of high finance, with valet and concierge service, a professionally designed gym, and outdoor rooftop terrace with exceptional views; 10 Hanover, a 24-story luxury rental tower that offers high-loft style ceilings and oversized windows with breathtaking East River views; and the sleek high-rise lofts at 90 Washington. The Club 90 boasts a driving range and sun deck with spectacular city and river views and on-site concierge services feature laundry, dry cleaning, and housekeeping.

Platinum’s sub-division of rentals, sales, commercial, management and investment has created strong businesses relationships throughout the Financial District and a reputation of professionalism and ambition for which the “Platinum District” stands.

The firm hosts community workout sessions, power lunches at your favorite FiDi restaurant, executive meetings in and around Wall Street, and company happy hours in the area’s coolest bars.

Bottom line: Platinum Properties is immersed in everything that is “Platinum District.” We love it and we live it. Our goal is for our clients to do the same.
